Meet the Dodge City Staff
Jeff Kippes - Director of Golf and Grounds - GCSAA
Originally from Ellis, Kansas, Jeff spent his high school and college years working at the local golf course. Jeff earned an associate's degree in horticulture in 1995 from Grayson County Community College in Sherman, Texas. From there he went on to work as an assistant superintendent in the Kansas City area at Overland Park Golf Club and Hillcrest Country Club. Jeff also worked as a foreman in the golf course construction field.
In April 2001, Jeff accepted the position of golf course superintendent at Southwind Country Club in Garden City, Kansas. He held that position for eight years before accepting the golf course superintendent at Dodge City Country Club in October of 2008. Recently, Jeff was promoted to director of golf and grounds at Dodge City Country Club.
Jeff and his wife, Stephanie, have a daughter, Riley, and a son, Connor. Jeff's black lab, Bunker, also frequently accompanies him to the golf course.
Chambre Riegel - Clubhouse Manager
Originally from Ford, Kansas, Chambre’s post-college journey took her to Florida, Texas and Kansas City before bringing her right back to where she started.
A Kansas State University graduate with a degree in public relations, Chambre specializes in strategic marketing, events and promotions. Her background in food marketing and hospitality includes work with Wolfgang Puck Café at Downtown Disney, Hyatt Grand Cypress, Wingstop Restaurants and Pizza Patron. A true passion for events both big and small, Chambre has had the pleasure to work with everyone from Troy Aikman and the Dallas Mavericks to Mickey Rooney and Mickey Mouse.
Angie K. Wentling - Executive Chef
A Southwest Kansas native, Angie Wentling, is an American Culinary Federation Certified Chef. She has completed four years of culinary school in Overland Park, Kansas, with specialization in pastry. During culinary school, Angie held the title of president of Johnson County's Junior Chef's Association and won three medals, two gold and one bronze, as captain and coach of the Culinary Knowledge Bowl Team.
Prior to returning to Dodge City in 2009, Angie served for almost three years as the Pastry Chef at the award-winning Great Wolf Lodge in Kansas City.
Doug Glenn - Head Golf Professional
Doug Glenn is a graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy. Prior to joining the Dodge City Country Club, Doug served as assistant professional at Southwind Country Club in Garden City. In November 2007, Doug signed on as assistant head professional at Dodge City Country Club and was promoted to head golf professional in January 2009.
Doug and his wife, Krystyl, have two young boys, Kelan and Kayden.
Colton Hager - Bar Manager
A Ford County native, Colton has been with the Dodge City Country Club since September of 2005. Originally hired as a server, Colton quickly climbed the ranks to bartender and then bar manager in May of 2008. Colton has his associate's degree in art from Dodge City Community College.
Shirley Summers - Controller
Shirley Summers was hired as the controller in January 2010. Prior to joining Dodge City Country Club, Shirley was the controller at Wilson Trailer Sales in Dodge City for 10 years and International Paper Company in Wichita for 10 years. Shirley and her husband, Terry, have four children and 11 grandchildren. They are excited to be back in Dodge City and at the club among wonderful friends.
