Jeff Kippes - Director of Golf and Grounds - GCSAA
Originally from Ellis, Kansas, Jeff spent his high school and college years working at the local golf course. Jeff earned an associate's degree in horticulture in 1995 from Grayson County Community College in Sherman, Texas. From there he went on to work as an assistant superintendent in the Kansas City area at Overland Park Golf Club and Hillcrest Country Club. Jeff also worked as a foreman in the golf course construction field.
In April 2001, Jeff accepted the position of golf course superintendent at Southwind Country Club in Garden City, Kansas. He held that position for eight years before accepting the golf course superintendent at Dodge City Country Club in October of 2008. Recently, Jeff was promoted to director of golf and grounds at Dodge City Country Club.
Jeff and his wife, Stephanie, have a daughter, Riley, and a son, Connor. Jeff's black lab, Bunker, also frequently accompanies him to the golf course.
Erica McKinney - Clubhouse Manager
Erica McKinney came from Hutchinson, Kansas. She has worked in the food industry for over 20 years, with 10 years of country club experience. 'I hope to bring my knowledge of club operations to DCCC and awaken the membership with new ideas, re-visit some old favorites and move forward into an exciting future!'
Erica and her husband, Kevin, have two children, Jacob and Danica.
Doug Glenn - Head Golf Professional
Doug Glenn is a graduate of the San Diego Golf Academy. Prior to joining the Dodge City Country Club, Doug served as assistant professional at Southwind Country Club in Garden City. In November 2007, Doug signed on as assistant head professional at Dodge City Country Club and was promoted to head golf professional in January 2009.
Doug and his wife, Krystyl, have two boys, Kelan and Kayden.
Shirley Summers - Controller
Shirley Summers was hired as the controller in January 2010. Prior to joining Dodge City Country Club, Shirley was the controller at Wilson Trailer Sales in Dodge City for 10 years and International Paper Company in Wichita for 10 years. Shirley and her husband, Terry, have four children and 11 grandchildren. They are excited to be back in Dodge City and at the club among wonderful friends.
Joe Scott - Executive Chef
Executive Chef Joe Scott grew up in Dodge City then moved to Kansas City shortly after graduating high school. He started in the restaurant business in teenage years and worked up through the ways of the kitchen as well as serving and bartending. Joe ran 3 kitchens in Kansas City before moving to Chicago and opening 3 restaurants for DMK Restaurant Group there and was the executive chef for the restaurant group overseeing all operations in kitchen as well as server training and bartender training. He has gained a lot of knowledge of food, and wine as well as operations in the restaurant business over the years of working in very high volume restaurants without compromising hospitality. 'I am very excited to be here in Dodge City and working with the country club.'
